Our current Special Event offerings:

New To Yoga 4 Week Series

Starting on Sunday October 1, 2023 from 3 -4 pm and meeting at the same time every Sunday for 4 weeks. $75 for all 4 sessions or $20 per session This 4 week series will start from the ground and work its way up. During this series we will discuss a bit of yoga history and philosophy but we will begin moving our bodies in the first class. Each class will build from the first class, and each week we will learn something new. We will explore seated poses, standing poses, standing balancing poses, as well as poses done reclined on your back or prone on your stomach. We will focus on breath awareness and continue to build each week to develop your sense of confidence and empowerment in “your yoga practice.” No experience necessary. All are welcome. Class led by Geri Ross, RYT 200.

Yoga For Kids

Saturday October 7th from 12:30 - 2 pm. $25. Suggested age: 8-12 years old, all experience levels welcome. Please reach out to us at 863.372.1682 with specific requests or questions. Mark your calendars because kids’ yoga is coming to Yoga Haven on October 7th! Practicing yoga helps older children and young teens build confidence and make friends, incorporate positive self-talk and relaxation techniques into their lives, and learn how to appreciate and love their bodies. As students navigate through secondary school, it is so important that they build skills to maintain and improve their mental and physical health - why not let yoga be a part of that journey? This class is led by Yoga Haven teacher Kat Finsterle who is a certified teacher in Florida with over five years of classroom experience including leading her school’s yoga club for grades 4 - 6. At this Yoga for Kids special event, Kat will lead the students in a short discussion of yoga and its benefits, followed by guided yoga practice, and “playtime” with team-building and group/partner yoga activities and games. Kat has many years of experience working with children and understands their limited attention spans and high levels of energy. Yoga is for everyone, and perhaps especially, for kids too! Additional information: Students may bring their own mats or use the studio provided mats. Students should wear lightweight, athletic type clothes and prepare to go barefoot or wear socks during class. Students may bring a water bottle and optional yoga props if they have them. Students may eat a snack but should not eat a large meal before class.Students are encouraged to use the bathroom and/or get water before class but are allowed to go during class, if needed. All genders, body types, and activity levels are welcome. Students will need to keep cell phones put away and on silent during the event (12:30 - 2 pm). For safety, once all registered attendees have arrived the studio door will be locked until pick up time. Please contact Kat directly if your child has special needs and/or requires specific accommodations - kfinsterle@gmail.com Drop off: Students may be dropped off up to 15 minutes prior to the event (12:15 pm) and picked up no more than 15 minutes after the event’s end (2:15 pm). Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up their students so the students can fully enjoy the event without being watched - we assure you they are in good hands with our experienced instructor, Kat Finsterle!

Partner Stretching Workshop

Self Love Sunday

Sunday October 29th from 5:00 - 6:15 pm. Chakra Empowerment with Buffy

Two Saturdays: November 11th and November 18th, 2023. 3:00 - 5:00 pm. $44 each or $77 for both sessions. This 2 part series will explore various tools and techniques to assist you in your personal journey of maintaining optimal chakra health. Class 1 includes an overview of the chakra system and an assessment to determine excess or deficient chakra energy. Then we will engage in affirmations, yoga poses, bija seed sound mantras and activities to empower the first 3 chakras which are the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras. Class 2 includes a review of the chakra system and first 3 chakras. Then we will engage in affirmations, yoga poses, bija seed sound mantras and activities to empower the heart, throat, 3rd eye, and crown chakras. Workshop led by Buffy La Roux. Buffy La Roux is a happy yogini located in Winter Haven, Fl who facilitates private and group healing experiences through Light Language, Energy Work, Reiki, Sound, Yoga, Bodywork, and Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique from her studio, Buffy’s Boutique in beautiful downtown Winter Haven, Fl. Yoga For Pain Relief with Lee Albert
