Peace On Earth Yoga Nidra

Sunday December 21, 2025. 3:00 - 4:15 pm. $20. Peace On Earth Yoga Nidra is a special gift you give to yourself. You need to do nothing but lie down, get comfortable, relax and listen. The word "Nidra" is Sanskrit that translates to "sleep." In our Yoga Nidra practice we enter a special state of deep rest and relaxation which brings a quiet stillness to our minds. Although you may not actually fall asleep, your muscular and mental tensions will fade away while you feel supported, comfortable and warm as you are guided on an inward journey. As the beautiful, magical and joyous Holiday season is upon us we may not realize how busy we become: preparing, planning and doing to bring that beautiful Holiday magic to those we love. This class is for you to take time for yourself to become renewed, refreshed and more balanced. You deserve this very special self-care to help you make your Holiday times even more enjoyable. You may want to bring a favorite comfortable pillow, blanket and warm socks. And it's even more fun if you bring along someone special! Yoga experience is not necessary. Class led by Michelle.

Pelvic Power Hour

Sunday January 25, 2026. 4:00 – 5:00 pm. $25 Join us for an informative (and surprisingly fun!) hour-long class all about the pelvic floor. We'll dive into the anatomy of this essential group of muscles, explore their functions, and discuss what happens when things go out of balance. Learn about common dysfunctions like incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, and how they often masquerade as back or hip issues. We'll also practice simple Yoga poses and exercises that support pelvic floor strength and relaxation—tools you can start using right away. So, be sure to wear comfortable Yoga clothing. Whether you're dealing with symptoms or just curious, this class will empower you with knowledge and practical tips for better pelvic health. This class is designed for women and men of all ages! Class led by Kate Brennan, LAc. Kate Brennan, LAc graduated from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City in 2005 with a Master of Science in Acupuncture. While in school Kate developed a deep passion for anatomy and hands-on, muscle-focused treatment. Long before "dry needling" became a buzzword, she was already using these techniques to help her patients find relief. The term “dry needling” refers to using an acupuncture needle to treat a tight muscle and not a traditional acupuncture point. It is referred to as dry because there is no medicine in the needle. In her Winter Haven clinic, pain - especially low back pain - is what walked through the door most often. Over the years, Kate completed extensive training in orthopedic acupuncture and pain management. But it wasn't until she discovered pelvic floor work that everything clicked. "This is the missing piece" she says. "The pelvic floor is truly our root - treating it changes everything." Kate has completed advanced pelvic floor training and has been helping the Winter Haven community feel better for nearly a decade. Her approach combines knowledge, intuition, and real tools for lasting relief. Kate’s business is called Wellness Haven Acupuncture and is located in Winter Haven. https://www.wellnesshavenacupuncture.com/pelvic-floor-acupuncture
